I did a paper on the Virginia Colonization Society when I was in graduate
school in the the early 1970s. I no longer have a copy of the paper, but
among my sources were 19th-century records (ca. 1830s to ca. 1850s) of the
society (meeting minutes, membership lists, etc.) in the Virginia Historical
Society.
