A friend of mine has the 1863 discharge paper for a distant relative
who served in the 57th Rgt NY Infantry. He was discharged for medical
reasons in Washington, D.C. My friend is wondering if some archive
might be interested in it (gratis).  Any suggestions will be
appreciated.
