Subject: American Founding Lecture Series

Gadsby=92s Tavern Museum and Carlyle House present The American Founding
Lecture Series, sponsored by the Maibach Foundation. Dr. Peter Henriques,
historian and Professor Emeritus at George Mason University as well as an
authority on George Washington, will discuss the many aspects of the Father
of our Country and his impact on early America.  The first of the series
will be "His First Testing Ground: George Washington and the French and
Indian War."

WHEN:  April 19.  Doors open at 7 p.m., light refreshments; Lecture begins
at 7:30 p.m.

WHERE:  Gadsby's Tavern Museum, 134 N. Royal St., Alexandria.

COST: $12 person per lecture.  Free to teachers and students with ID.
Reservations are recommended.

April 26 - "Another Sally Hemings Case?  A New Look at the George
Washington and West Ford Controversy"

May 3 - "A Sly Fox?: George Washington and Orthodox Christianity"
