"My ballpark guess is that most historians who study slavery, plantations,
and the antebellum South are
persuaded that Thomas Jefferson fathered all of Hemings's children."

My ballpark guess is that most historians who study slavery and work at
universities believe in man-made global warming, Darwinism, and Fidel Castro as a
great humanitarian, so don't put too much stock in their opinions.
