Since the topic has come up, I'd like to remind everyone of the excellent
(and fun!) web site of the Gunpowder Plot Society.  Among other items, the
site includes royal letters and documents as well as writings of the
conspirators themselves.  There is also a concise, readable and
entertaining account of the events leading up to and those after the plot
