The folks at Michigan State tell me that aside from a collection of Civil
War era photos (about which there is some information on line), Professor
Clyde Henson did not donate anything to the University Archives. The only
mention of Bland the archivists found was in Henson's Condensed
Biographical Info Form submitted to Michigan State University in 1962. It
states Henson was "Cited in THE CATALOGUE OF THE LIBRARY OF THOMAS
JEFFERSON, E. Millicent Sowerby, Compiler, 5 vols. The Library of Congress,
Washington, D. C., 1952-57, for all the work on the Bland Library which is
included in the Catalogue."

Jefferson bought extensively from Bland's library, and from Davis's
comments I had assumed that he and Henson were on to something newer that
Sowerby's catalogue (which I have) but now it looks as though Davis may
have been in possession of Henson's photocopies for some considerable time
prior to the publication of his magnum opus in 1978 -- and evidently Trevor
Colbourn too.

Thanks to everyone for suggestions, and good wishes for the holiday season.
