Echoing that old cliche, "Save your Confederate Money, boys, the South shall rise again", I wonder if anybody else saw that strange editorial in the Washington Post yesterday?

I think the gist of it was that the current US Automaker crisis goes all the way back to the Civil War. The industrial North unionized, paid high wages, gave good benefits, while the agrarian South welcomed foreign producers, etc. etc.

But relating it to the Civl War?!?!? Please shed some light on it for me.
