You apparently haven't read Kukla. The time when he propositioned Betsy 
Walker was not one time, which is all he admitted to, but continuously, over 
a period of ten years, at which end, when TJ was in France, she finally told 
her husband why she wanted Jefferson taken off her husband's will. Jefferson 
signed an affidavit, forced by Betsy's husband, stating that her allegations 
were truth. Otherwise, Thomas and Betsy's husband would have had to fight a 
duel, and she loved her husband. Tom may have been "young and single" as if 
that is any excuse for abusing a married woman, the first time he 
propositioned her, but he continued to harass her even after he was married 
and leaving the range of "young".

Using the lame excuse of  "young and single" is not a reason for a gentleman 
of the stature you insist Thomas was, to approach the wife of his best 
friend. It's shabby at best, and damning in it's full story.
