If you love antique furniture, in particular the gorgeous variety that was crafted in Petersburg, make sure to join the Battersea Foundation on Friday, October 14th from 6 to 8 pm.
The McIlwaine House, famous from exterior shots in the movie Lincoln and more recently the made for television series TURN and Mercy Street, is the setting for the talk and wine tasting.
Admission is free, and for a modest fee you may enjoy delightful wine tastings as you tour the restored late Georgian/Early Federal period home.
Sandy Graham, who owns and has meticulously restored the home, will give the talk on Petersburg furniture.
Afterwards, take a refreshing stroll around scenic Old Towne Petersburg and enjoy a delicious meal at one of the many locally owned restaurants.
This is a great opportunity to get a behind the scenes look at a historic house that is not usually open to the public!
