A note to researchers who may be trying to contact the Library of Virginia:

Please be aware that the Library of Virginia and the State Records Center are experiencing telephone problems with both incoming and outgoing external calls. Incoming calls and messages left on answering machines are garbled. Calls are cutting in and out and it's impossible to understand anyone on the line. We have reported the problem and Verizon is working to solve the situation.  Please contact us by e-mail if possible.
