Dear VA-HIST members,

Donna Lucey will be speaking about her recent work, Archie and Amelie:
Love and Madness in the Gilded Age, at the Library of Virginia’s noontime
book-talk series on Tuesday, September 12, 2006.

The book offers a riveting glimpse into the scandal and intrigue of the
title characters’ lives and reveals the history behind this popular
subject of Virginia lore. Lucey’s talk will be followed by a book signing
sponsored by the Virginia Shop, where copies of the book are now
available. We hope you will join us for this special event.

Please check the Library's upcoming events by clicking on "News and
Events" at: http://www.lva.lib.va.us
