Tom De Haven is the author of several novels, including /Derby Dugan's
Depression Funnies /(winner of the 1997 American Book Award) and /Funny
Paper/s.  De Haven is the Professor of English and Director of Creative
Writing Program, Virginia Commonwealth University.

This lecture is the 19th Annual James Branch Cabell Lecture and is
sponsored by the James Branch Cabell Library Associates and VCU
Libraries. This event is free and open to the public. Public parking is
available for a fee in the Main Street Parking Deck and West Cary Street
