Look at the ancestry of the Ball's and the Chinn's. you will derive a lot of
information about the family's struggles to leave France and escape to the
Colonies as Huguenots and those oppressed for religious reasons.

Subject: Mary Ball Washington.

In my book, Realistic Visionary: A Portrait of George Washington, I devoted
chapters to GW's relationship with his wife and with Sally Fairfax. I am
now
working on his complicated and controversial relationship with his mother,
Mary Ball Washington.

Does anyone have suggestions for leads, especially those not easily
accessible in the published work of Freeman, Flexner, etc.?

Thanks.

Peter Henriques
