Most definitely a collection of dishes, mugs, etc.

This is a very common description found in inventories. The York County
inventories, which I know best are chock full of such descriptions.

Subject: 1788 Will

Dear Listers:

In a Inventory of an estate in 1788 there is listed A PARCEL OF PEWTER
worth 8 pounds. Were these dishes, etc or bulk pewter?

Thanks for any help.
