Let us not forget the Irish and the Scottish when you talk about slavery
Ok the term that was used was indenture servants but when you have a choice
of going to prison for some petty crime and most of the time trumped up
charges just to force the people off their land .
Or selling themselves in to bondage, gee I call that slavery.
And then the ones who paid their way over knowing that they had them over
the barrel would make up other charges to keep them indentured for longer.
Let us not forget Andrew Johnson , a black gentlemen who owned many slaves,
even to the point he would not even free his own wife and children
Slavery is wrong in any book by todays standards but slavery has gone on
through out history by every group of people.
Oh yea do not forget the North had slaves and all of the slaves ships were
owned by northerners
