We continue our examination of the 1912 "Hillsville Massacre" today with
a look at Friel Allen, convicted of second degree murder in the death of
Carroll County Commonwealth's Attorney but described by a fellow
prisoner as having a "boyish, good-natured disposition and forgiving
spirit."
