The subject line is amusing.  Is the "war of Northern aggression" the
one that was started with treasonous former officers of the United
States of America began firing at U.S. Army troops stationed  in a fort
built by the tax payers of the entire nation to protect the city of
Charleston from foreign invaders?  That was the battle where a brave and
courageous southern-born commander defended his flag against an
unwarrantend and unprovoked attack by men who had been trained at West
Point, at tax payer expense, and then took off their uniforms, put on
the uniforms of another army, and attacked their former comrades.  The
would-be new nation was led by man who had also been educated at West
Point, served in the United States Army, and turned traitor, and made
war on his own country. 

It is worth remembering that that Davis, Lee, and the other traitors
took the same oath when they entered West Point that American soldiers,
marines, sailors, and airmen/women take when they enter  military
service today.
