A dollar conversion can be found from the Links page of the Virginia
Genealogical Society, at
< http://www.vgs.org/vgslinks.htm >, General Resources, headed "Calculate
Inflation Rates in Dollars."  This begins with 1800 dollars.  Hope this helps.
