Hey folks, just to spice up things a bit, there IS provision in the US Laws
for a geographic area to seceded. However it is from the state that it is
in, and it MUST go to another State. Some summers ago when we were up in
New England, disgruntled New Hampshire residents talked about seceeding to
Maine. Butit requires all kinds of approval, not theleast of which is an
Act of Congress.
But since this topic is getting long in the tooth, however sections of
Virginia CAN seceede to North Carolina or Maryland or West Virginia or
Kentucky or Tennesee, or heaven help us maybe even DC, lets spend a few
minutes gathering the reasons that some part of Virginia might want to.
