I am new to this list but have a question that has baffled me for some
time.

I know there has been books written on Church Hill's history and homes
but they seem to always include just those South of Broad Street. The
area once known as Shed Town was annexed into Richmond and Church Hill
area what... some 130-years ago or so? But you still do not find a
history that includes this section North of Broad now considered Church
Hill nor find a separate book on the subject. The simple question is
WHY? Especially when there were substantial homes also in that
district, some older than those on the South side including ours built
in 1812.

Thanks!
Eric
