Web Site Production Manager

Duties
The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the Virginia Historical Society's web site, including design, content, maintenance, and e-commerce functions. The manager will work under the auspices of the publications department and collaborate closely with all departments to refine existing pages and develop new web sites, with an emphasis on user experience and usability research. The manager will work closely with IT and other staff on a variety of other technology-related projects, from digitization to strategic planning. 
	
Qualifications
*       Experience in web design and development
*       E-commerce experience 
*       Knowledge of usability theory
*       Experience with web design and development software
*       Knowledge of: HTML (required), CSS (required), ASP (preferred), VbScript (preferred), and Javascript (preferred)
*       Museum or non-profit experience preferred
*       Bachelor's degree (record of coursework in history or related field preferred)

Hours
9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday, with some flexibility as needed

Salary and benefits
*       Salary commensurate with experience
*       Full package of employer-paid benefits
*       Six national holidays
*       Twelve vacation days accrued during the first calendar year
