The Mary Ball Washington Museum and Library's "Closing
The Gap" African American Research Project will be displaying
items pertaining to African American Northern Neck [of Virginia] Culture and
History in an exhibit to be held at the museum during the month
of February 2003.

In order to provide the public with an exhibit as interesting and
informative as possible, we are extending an opportunity to those
who might have artifacts, documents, art, photographs or other
significant historical memorabilia that would be placed on loan to
the museum during the period of the exhibit. All accepted items
shall of course be appropriately documented, recorded and
returned to the lender after the exhibit ends. Interested persons
may telephone Thomas Hemans, 804 462 7280 or e-mail
