Records can be lost even in modern times. I am researching someone
buried at Evergreen cemetery in 1969. The cemetery is in deplorable
condition, not maintained by the owner nor perpetual care so overgrown
nearly the past 50 years. Interment cards at the library doesn't show
the person I am seeking (Arklee "Archie Lee" Womack) and understand from
a cleanup volunteer that the owner kept them at hand but there was a
fire that destroyed many cards which is why the interment records past
1957 are a bit spotty and many now unrecorded. It may take years, if
ever to find the grave as it will take years and most likely millions to
clean and fix up the cemetery!

Isn't so sad those records were lost, I have members also in the
Richmond area I am looking for.
