A built-in flash is not a good idea. The problem is that it'll reflect 
an objectionable flare right back into the lens and destroy the image 
you're trying to capture. If you're using a digital camera you'd be 
better off to just use available light and use the camera's delayed 
shutter feature so that you won't get camera shake when the shutter trips.

I'm not familiar with the two copy stands you reference, but my guess is 
that it probably won't make much difference if you follow what I suggest 
above.
