"RR was perhaps our greatest American president." I would vote for GW on
that one.

"He (Reagan) would not have been very supportive of a 'celebration' that
resulted in  racial violence."  

RR celebrated the kickoff of his presidential campaign at a landmark of
racial violence, Philadelphia, MS, site of the murders of Michael Schwerner,
James Chaney, and Andrew Goodman. Sent quite a message with his appearance
in that particular, carefully chosen place.
