I cannot recommend a specific machine or make but one feature that I would deem crucial is scan to disc or USB.

In this day and age there is really no longer any reason why microfilm even exists. An ability to export microfilm images as .pdf images is highly desireable for researchers and the posting of those images to finding aids (mounted online) ccompletely obviates the need for micorfilm. m

I'm from a smaller library as well and we purchased about a year ago the eImage Data ScanPro 2000 Microform Scanner from Brodart. I've been as well as other staff and patrons have been greatly pleased with it.

I am looking for advice on purchase of a plain paper reader/printer for a small library/museum archive. It must make copies of up to 11x14 filmed originals. No coin-op needed. Thoughts on features to look for or avoid as well as recommended models/brands are sought.

Thank you, Lynne Schulman
