Brent,

I too received assistance from Daphne. I especially remember the ideas she
offered to me when I was accompaning my husband to Richmond on a business
trip in the late 1990's and was going to stop at the LVA to do some
genealogical research. Not knowing anything about the LVA, I knew I would
surely waste a lot of time. Daphne told me exactly what to do when I got
there. She saved me a lot of time, especially since I could only spent an
afternoon at the library. She was always willing to offer aide to anyone no
matter how little they knew about research or large libraries.

She has provided us with a great gift by creating the VA-Roots listserv. We
will be forever in her debt.
