Greetings - here are improved instructions for modifying your VA-HIST
subscription, such as setting to digest.  I also modified the web screens so
it is clearer what actions you need to take, and in which order! The default
instructions that came with the software were anything but intuitive!

Please take a moment to visit the list Home Page at:

http://listlva.lib.va.us/archives/va-hist.html

If you had your mail sent to you in digest mode with the old server, you
will need to go into your subscriber account from this page and re-set your
subscription to digest.

From the list Home Page, select "join or leave the list (or change
settings)"

Then, select "click here to set up your password"

You will then see the "Registering your LISTSERV password" page.  Enter your
email address and your desired password in the boxes provided.  You will
then receive an email message requesting that you confirm your new password.

After you confirm your password, go back to the list home page, select "join
or leave the list (or change settings).

Select "click here to log into your VA-ROOTS subscription."  Enter your
email address and your new password.

You will now see a screen that will allow you to modify your subscription.

For a regular digest, select "digest (traditional)."

You must also choose whether or not you wish to receive copies of your own
postings, or if you wish to only receive notification that your postings
were sent.  If you do not choose one of these options, you will not receive
any notice that you sent a posting to the list.

After you finish making your selections, click on the "Update Options"
button to save the new settings.
