#### I believe Curles was a term that was used somewhat interchangeably to
refer to the area or alternatively to the plantation or home although Curles
Neck was usually identified as such.  I also believe it would have been
fairly normal to be born, married and also buried at the plantation.  I
believe that Curles was the family seat of the large Cocke family.
