What period of time do these books cover? How early in time did Africans 
supply ALL the people to be enslaved by those who arrived in ships to pick 
them up? There was a good traffic in African slaves prior to the so-called 
"discovery" of America for use both a slaves in Europe and especially as 
slaves on eastern Atlantic islands that were being discovered and converted 
into plantations. So, what period of time are your books covering?

Further, I would point out that you are indicating the corrupting influence 
of "commerce" or "capitalism". Had the Europeans offered to trade in the 
beautiful wood available on the African continent, or the minerals, instead 
of in humans, the story would have turned out quite different.

One could point out that is was the greed of the Europeans who not only 
purchased slaves, but then overworked them until they died way too early, 
that brought about the tremendous trade in brown skin.
