We tried to honor Valentine's Day with a bit of romance on Out of the Box, but Virginia's court records don't offer the best examples of happy couples. Instead, today's post features a long-distance romance that turned sour after the couple reunited in Petersburg. Read on for more on the breach of promise suit between Permelia McKinney and Frank Roberts heard in the Petersburg court in 1916.
