The Costume Department and the Rockefeller Library, at the Colonial
Williamsburg Foundation in Williamsburg, should be able to help you with
this one, since they are not located far from Jamestown. They should be
able to direct you to good sources for the attire of a typical mid-17th
century woman.

Good Eve all,
Unfortunately to the best of my knowledge, none of my family came here
quite this early(1652 is the earliest I can document) anyway I am
researching what the women would have worn and have found very little
info on it..English sites aren't helpful as they all seem to show more
court dress..do any of you have pictures or good links to what a female
colonist would have worn at that time??..thanks..
