Greetings All,

I've just received my copy of Gary Williams' new book, Sussex County,
Virginia: A Heritage Recalled by the Land, and it is superb! Gary is Clerk
of the Sussex Circuit Court and a life-long promoter of Sussex history. This
book is obviously a labor of love, and Sussex County is indeed fortunate to
have such an erudite and well-informed lover. The book is big (8.5" x 11",
356 pages plus front matter) with lots of photographs, end notes, four
appendices and many maps. Gary has mapped the early land grants and labeled
them with names and dates. The book covers events, people and places. If you
are interested in Sussex County history, this is the book for you. There is
contact information on the Sussex County VAGenWeb site on the How To Find
Your Family page.
