Dear VA-HISTers,

Please check <http://www.lva.lib.va.us/whatwedo/k12/wkshopflyer.pdf> for an
announcement regarding a Teachers' Workshop on "Virginia Roots Music"
co-hosted by the Library of Virginia and the Blue Ridge Institute in Ferrum
on November 16. Although we are past the formal cut-off date for
applications, we would welcome further registrations. Our first workshop,
held at the Library of Virginia, received excellent evaluations from the
attendees and the second should be very special. Kinney Rorrer and Vaughan
Webb, both noted experts on Virginia folk music, will be part of the Ferrum
workshop. Please share this information with friends and colleagues in the
teaching profession!

If you would like further information, please contact me at
