Subject: Virginia-born famous men whose parents were not BOTH born in
Virginia?

I friend has asked :

"Can you think of any Virginia-born famous men (including founders,
presidents, Declaration signers, or Civil War heroes) whose parents were
not both (repeat BOTH) born in Virginia? [Her] cursory search turns up
only Henry (father born in Scotland) and Jefferson (mother born in
England)."

Any other candidates come to mind?
