Perhaps I have missed this part of thread --

We are also fast approaching 200th anniversary of War of 1812 - a rather dramatic time in Washington DC and the Chesapeake.

Is there a central point for activities, planning, etc?

While we still have 2007 to get past (with extremely little publicity in the Washington area for it), I wonder if anyone has given any thought to 2011 and the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War/War Between the States/etc.? Will it rival the centennial in the 1960s? Something to put on one's calendar!
