Thanks to all who responded.  I called the person who made the initial
query.  It turns out that she was using our holdings on the Pickett-Buchanan
Confederate veterans camp.  Each member who joined was required to fill out
a form which included details of their service.  The person she was
interested in stated he had joined at Liberty, Virginia.
