There is a nice entry on Grace Arents on pages 196-197 of volume one of
the Dictionary of Virginia Biography, published by the Library of
Virginia.

Anybody needing biographical information on any Virginian whose surname
begins before Darden should look first in the three published volumes of
the Dictionary of Virginia Biography. There are almost exactly 1,400
biographies there, and all but a small handful with new or corrective
information in them. They also have bibliographical notes that provide
easy guides to other published references and to the location of primary
sources.
