As a great friend of Annette Gordon-Reed I didn't detect a statement by
Brent that TJ fathered slave children. This is a comment on slavery, etc and
should be correctly kept separate from attempts to "saddle" TJ with Hemings
children false claims. Just because one topic may or may not be true there
is no need to "pile on", the two topics are separate.
