As the Hunley crowd gets cranked up for a big event next April, I read with interest that the funeral service will be read out of an 1861 prayer book. I suspect this may be an Episcopal Prayer book, but am not sure. I know that the good Episcopalians (certainly in Richmond) substituted for the Prayer for the President of the US, one for the Pres of the Confderacy. Does anybody know if the Diocese of Virginia or South Carolina had a special 'Confederate' version of the prayer book printed in 1861?
