Have you looked into the papers of others in the regiment. It is possible
that his superior officers have papers that they left to a library. This is
a similar situation to one that I had, in which I was searching for a
roster. When I located the roster, it was in the papers of the General of
the unit. Is there a possibility that James Dunn left papers with a library,
or historical society?

Good luck in your search.
