Please excuse any cross postings.

The index to the chancery records of Amelia Co. from 1800-1913 has been
added to the Library of Virginia's Chancery Records Index Web site.
Amelia Co. is in the Central Piedmont region which adds it to the
records of four other localities available for searching in that region:
Chesterfield, Cumberland, Henrico and Goochland. The Amelia Co. records are
microfilmed. You may view the microfilm at the Library of Virginia, the
Amelia Co. Circuit Court clerk's office, or order mircofilm reels through
InterLibrary Loan. The earliest Amelia Co. records will be made available
at a later date.

Please be sure to check the "What's Available" page of the Chancery Records
Index to see all the localities that have indexes posted and records ready
for viewing.
