I think we should defer on a discussion of Charles F. Irons, The Origins of  
Proslavery Christianity: White and Black Evangelicals in Colonial and 
Antebellum  Virginia (University of North Carolina Press, 2008) until the price of the 
book  drops well below the current $60 on Amazon.com.
 
It must be quite a book at this price.
