The CW 150 Legacy project is an effort to locate, digitize, and provide public
access to Civil War-era documents in private hands in Virginia. The
descriptions of battles, political tensions, and family life contained in these
documents have not been seen, in most cases, by anyone outside the families
that care for them. Visit this week’s Out of the Box blog entry to see some of
the documents our archivists scanned in the field and learn more about this
exciting project.
