Anne;

The books extensively cover African slavery from earliest know times.

When the first Europeans showed up on the East Coast of Africa, black
slavery was a well-established (I might even say ancient) institution. It remains
so today in certain parts of Africa.

Don't lay the advent of black slavery at the doorstep of my white American
ancestors.
