Hello Va-Histers,
 
Please join us at the Library of Virginia on Saturday, March 11, 2006,
at 3:00 p.m., for the 2006 Alan M. and Nathalie P. Voorhees Lecture on
the History of Cartography sponsored by Library of Virginia Foundation.
Our guest lecturer will be Dr. Ronald E. Grim, curator of the Norman B.
Leventhal Map Center at the Boston Public Library.  Dr. Grim's talk is
entitled "Roads, Canals, Railroads - Mapping Virginia's Antebellum
Transportation Network."  He will focus his remarks on the Board of
Public Works collection at the Library of Virginia.  A reception will
follow the lecture.
