Greetings: An African American named Robert Blew evacuated with the
British in 1783 from New York City. He said he had been a servant to
a Capt Gills who had left him with a Parson Turner whom he had left
4 years before and joined the British troops in Norfolk. Can anyone
give me an idea of the location of Parson Turner or Capt Gills? They
don't seem to be from Norfolk. Thanks.
