Please, NO CURRENT POLITICS at all on this list. Period.
 
Please, cut out the snide remarks about other members and also about
other writers. You're annoying me and a great many other people so much
that they are leaving the list, which once was the best discussion list
for state history in the country (and also the first) but is in danger
of being reduced to a private spitting context among about half a dozen
people who know who they are.
