Greetings VA-Hist Recipients,

I've followed the debate on this list re: TJ's bloodlines with interest.
Ms. Gordon-Reed was recently a guest on a radio program I work for,
BackStory With the American History Guys, hosted by Peter Onuf, Ed
Ayers, and Brian Balogh and based at the Virginia Foundation for the
Humanities. I wanted to make you all aware of this, and hope you listen.
The interview with Gordon-Reed is part of a larger show on the history
of race mixing and racial "purity" in America. I hope you can listen, as
many of the issues being discussed are also discussed on the show. The
show will be re-broadcast this weekend in Virginia, and you can listen
any time on our website, *www.backstoryradio.org*. On the site you can
find stations, times, sign up for the podcast, etc. You can also weigh
in with your opinions on our discussion boards. Hope to see you there!
