I've been reading with some interest the renewed comment on the
Jefferson/Hemmings DNA controversy. Without commenting either way - not
having read the report - I will note that today, April 12, WTOP-AM in
Washington is carrying a news item about the release of the report by the
group assembled by the descendants which the news characterizes as naming
Thomas' younger brother Randolph as the probable source of the DNA in one
line. The news story did not cite the source as either a wire story or a
radio network story, so that is all I can report on their report.
